The River Ewaso Nyiro Landscapes

A vast expanse of savannah grassland that provides forage for livestock, wildlife, and local communities. This landscape supports gazelles, Somali ostriches, and migratory bird species. Guided tours and birdwatching create eco-tourism opportunities while also promoting environmental awareness among residents and visitors.

The Lake Bor Landscapes

This landscape includes scrublands and woodlands that support giraffes, lions, leopards, gazelles, dik-diks, warthogs, and jackals. The wider landscape also offers opportunities for riverbank infiltration and supports conservation work connected to traditional medicinal plants, herbal knowledge, and the cultural heritage of Wajir communities.
